Challenge Eve, a young girl with Rett Syndrome, experienced a change in her medical needs that demanded a new care package with highly skilled nurses trained in airway support. Her existing care was deemed insufficient for her complex needs, including NIV support via Bi-pap. Her parents urgently needed highly skilled nurses trained in airway support to ensure her safety and well-being at home.

Collaboration & Personalised Care We worked with Eve’s parents to create a bespoke care package for Eve. This collaborative approach ensured the highest level of care, tailored to Eve’s specific needs and delivered with compassion. Regular reviews and adjustments ensured the care plan remained adaptable to Eve’s evolving needs.
Care Package & Support Eve’s complex condition required one-on-one care from critical care/HDU trained nurses, capable of working independently with her both at home and in the community. These nurses managed her NPA, NIV support, medication, PEG feeding, respiratory observations, and all personal care needs. Having a consistent and exceptional team of nurses provided peace of mind and the confidence that Eve was in the best possible hands.
Day-to-Day Experience The presence of caregivers in the home can be daunting, but Eve’s parents had a positive experience. Care needs were met diligently according to the plan, detailed logs were maintained, and communication was excellent, keeping them informed of any changes in Eve’s well-being. Eve’s genuine affection for her nurses, reflected in her smiles and giggles, served as a testament to the quality of care she received.
